Professor Pearce's teaching interests are in hydraulics and the numerical solution of environmental transport problems. Courses include: hydraulics; basic computer instruction (including object oriented programming); numerical solution of environmental transport problems; and coastal engineering. His research interests parallel his teaching interests with recent projects involving the use of real time visual displays (Graphical User Interface) as an addition to environmental transport models.
